Important β€” Done-For-You vs. DIY Installation

Merchant Solutions Corp recommends Done-For-You installation whenever possible. Our team reviews your internet connection, network setup, Wi-Fi coverage, and equipment requirements before deployment to reduce setup issues and downtime.

Merchants who choose Do-It-Yourself installation are responsible for providing a compatible network environment, including internet service, firewall settings, Wi-Fi coverage, and supported accessories. Merchant Solutions Corp cannot guarantee performance or assume responsibility for issues caused by local network configuration, unsupported hardware, or third-party equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a separate router for my POS?

No β€” your existing business Wi-Fi router is fine, provided it has 5+ Mbps download and a reliable signal at the POS counter. For full-service restaurants with multiple handhelds + KDS, we recommend a dedicated POS router.

Can I use my phone hotspot for setup?

Yes for the initial activation. Long-term we recommend a fixed-line internet connection for transaction reliability.

What if the terminal won't connect to Wi-Fi?

Verify your 2.4 GHz band is enabled (most terminals don't see 5 GHz networks), confirm the password, and reboot the terminal. If it still fails, your firewall may be blocking outbound 443/8443 β€” open a support ticket.
