What is PCI?
PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is a security framework required by Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover. Every merchant must attest to compliance annually.
Two fees you might see
- PCI Compliance fee β $9.95/mo or $99/yr. Funds the compliance portal and quarterly scans.
- PCI Non-Compliance fee β $19.95β$39.95/mo. Charged when you've NOT completed your annual SAQ (Self-Assessment Questionnaire).
How to stop non-compliance fees
- Log into the PCI portal (link in your welcome email or contact your account manager).
- Complete the SAQ (typically SAQ-A for ecommerce, SAQ-B for terminal-only).
- Pass the quarterly scan if you take cards online.
